Blaze (he/him)@piefed.socialto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Now that PewDiePie is on his Linux/engineering arc, could he help boost the Fediverse?English22·12 days agoWe’re far away from thousands of votes and comments per post, don’t worry.
!fedigrow@lemm.ee is full of people trying to build communities about popular topics, only to be shouting into the void

Blaze (he/him)@piefed.socialto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Voyager changed the default instance to lemmy.zipEnglish5·12 days agoLemmy.cafe had an issue with pictures not loading properly from 22nd of November to 16 of January: https://lemmy.cafe/post/9986198
And yes, you probably wont’ be able to see it without being logged in
Blaze (he/him)@piefed.socialto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Voyager changed the default instance to lemmy.zipEnglish4·12 days agoEdited as db0 is openly anarchist, probably not the best fit for everyone.

From another post
Lemmy.world is too big sh.itjust.works names contains "shit", which can deter users lemmy.ca is Canadian-centric feddit.org, is German-centric, but technically English speaking too dbzer0 is topic focused programming.dev is topic-centric blahaj is queer-focused discuss.tchncs.de has a difficult name lemmy.sdf.org does not defederate anyone beehaw defederates LW and SJW infosec.pub is topic-centric aussie.zone is country-centric midwest.social is region-centric

There’s a reason lemm.ee was the previous default instance.
Blaze (he/him)@piefed.socialto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Migrating communities in the wake of the lemm.ee shutdownEnglish31·13 days agoIt will be a community by community discussion. I mod a few lemm.ee communities, we’ll have separate polls in each of them.

Have a nice day too!
Blaze (he/him)@piefed.socialto [Locked] YUROP@lemm.ee•!CasualEurope@piefed.social, a community with a name more clear and using Piefed featuresEnglish1·15 days agoMemes and jokes on their own are fine, the issue is that they tend to just be about politics and news, and attacks towards against countries under the pretense of humor. https://old.reddit.com/r/YUROP/ is definitely mostly that.
It’s personal, but news and politics are everywhere on Lemmy. I just wanted a place without them.
If other people want to take over !yurop@lemm.ee, and make it closer to the subreddit, that’s an option too.
Blaze (he/him)@piefed.socialto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Here's for 2 years since I joined LemmyEnglish3·15 days agoI would say it’s worth it. Communities have moved to other instances after admin power tripping reports. Users have moved to other communities after mods power trips reports.
