I think you’ve hit the nail on the head… how much of these “benefits” are just natural outcomes from losing weight? When the body isn’t fighting all the extra weight, it can naturally heal itself more efficiently.

Hinting that they were being sheisty about it, so as not to garner bad press would be my guess.
