anyone brings up any kind of criticism.

The criticism being “don’t do it”. My meat consumption has decreased but is not eliminated. Always defended people’s dietary preferences when vegetarians/vegans faced backlash. Not they’ve become the preachy ones.

Downplaying the ethical view that exploiting others is wrong and should be avoided as a “dietary preference” comes off as a little disingenuous.

Who is exploiting anyone? Choosing to not eat meat is a dietary preference, regardless of your irrelevant use of quotation marks.

Maybe you’d make more progress if stopped calling people “brainwashed”. That’s ACTUALLY disingenuous.

Farmers (and by extension the people who pay them) are exploiting animals.

I don’t think I used the term brainwashed in my comments so not sure why you’re attacking me for that, but if you are really continuing to harm animals only because someone used a word you don’t like that’s cause for some introspection.
