The article says the main things they’ll be looking at is people cheating electronically or by lying about their weight or height
I take it the system uses a stationary bike
However under MyWhoosh’s new policy, which will be introduced next week, selected riders will be told before, during or after racing that they must stay where they are for up to three hours to be tested.
That will give someone from the International Doping Tests & Management team time to reach them and take a urine, blood, or dried blood spot sample.
So what if the rider lives in a rural area and it takes longer than 3 hours to do a test? Will they be DQed?
If cheaters want to cheat, they’ll do it through the PC side. Remember lag switchers on PS3? I bet someone can do the same on MyWhoosh.
Not the racers problem. The requirement to the racer is to stay in situ for 3 hours, it is MyWhoosh’s problem to get the testers there.
Cheaters gonna cheat is fine enough, until £5m / year in prize money is involved. Then MyWoosh needs to do something about cheating, lest riders go elsewhere.
“No, I can’t pick up the kids right now and visit the in-laws after the race as I promised. Some guy will come around into our home and I have to piss in a bottle”
