    It’s an old reconstruction, recent excavations couldn’t find any traces of a permanent bridge. They found some Roman remains in the riverbed in the 19th century, but modern scolars think they were part of a port or maybe a temporary bridge. The Danube freezes here on cold winters, Romans couldn’t build that strong piers.
