So I get amphetamines and cocaine, but what could be the cause for increased stroke risk in cannabis users, if we’re assuming a causal relationship? Do we also see stroke increase in tobacco smokers, could it be the smoke? Is the THC just fucking with our brain chemistry in such a way that increases strokes?
Smoking tobacco has a very well established associated increase risk of stroke, heart disease, and all other sorts of cardiovascular diseases.
This study is not even able to prove that anything increases a risk of stroke. They just found correlations here and there and drew conclusions not supported by the facts.

THC can stress the heart by lowering blood pressure and can also cause the heart to race even while at rest.
