France. I was pretty fluent, with a nearly flawless accent back in the day. Love to test myself, see if it comes back! Wouldn’t be so much fun unless I was there for a couple of months.

I want to go back to Germany. Visited there on a three week exchange in high school but haven’t been back since. Even with the various cultural homework things we had to do (learn what a Schultüte is, visit a graveyard, etc) I’m sure there’s so much more to do and see that young me couldn’t have even comprehended.

Careful what you wish for, Germany has a shitload of distinct regional cultures thanks to being split up in a gazillion different small kingdoms for most of its history. Once you go down that rabbit hole, you won’t ever come back.

Italy is a pretty large country by European standards, I think it might be best to specify by region. I’ve been to the east side of Sicily and the Mediterranean coast near Savona.

To me, Porto is still on my to-do list. Also Albania is said to be a nice place to visit. Another is the Istria region of Croatia.
